How to Delete Your Data

VoxSmyth respects your right to control your personal data. You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time using any of the methods below.

Option 1: In-App Account Deletion

1. Log in to your VoxSmyth account at voxsmyth.com/auth
2. Navigate to Account Settings from the user menu
3. Scroll to the "Delete Account" section
4. Click "Delete My Account" and confirm
5. Your account and all personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@voxsmyth.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

• Your registered email address
• Your full name (as registered)
• Whether you signed up via email, Google, or Facebook

We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email once complete.

What Data Is Deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

• Account profile (name, email, password hash)
• Library and reading history
• Voice preferences and character assignments
• Generated audio files and cached content
• Payment and subscription records (after legal retention period)
• OAuth tokens (Google, Facebook)
• Analytics and usage data associated with your account

Facebook User Data

If you signed in using Facebook, you can also remove VoxSmyth's access to your Facebook data by visiting Facebook App Settings and removing VoxSmyth from your connected apps. This will revoke our access, and you can then request data deletion using the methods above.

Data Retention

Some data may be retained for up to 90 days in encrypted backups for disaster recovery purposes. Financial transaction records may be retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws. All retained data is securely encrypted and automatically purged after the retention period.
