You can also manually customize which voice is assigned to each character through our Voice Assignment panel.

VoxSmyth offers a free tier that gives you access to browse our entire audiobook library and preview all 65+ professional voices. Free users can listen to sample narrations. What voices are available?

You can preview every voice for free in our Vocal Atelier before subscribing. Voice categories include Listener tier (standard quality) and Director tier (premium professional voices).
Can I upload my own books?
Yes! Creator tier subscribers can upload their own manuscripts in PDF, DOCX, or TXT format. VoxSmyth will automatically extract the text, detect chapters, analyze characters, and generate a full multi-voice audiobook. This is perfect for authors who want to create audiobook versions of their work without hiring voice actors.
What books are in the library?
VoxSmyth includes 113 classic public domain books from Project Gutenberg, including Pride and Prejudice, A Christmas Carol, Jane Eyre, Little Women, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Anne of Green Gables, Wuthering Heights, and many more. We support both Instant Voice Cloning (quick, from a short sample) and Professional Voice Cloning (higher quality, requires more training data).
Is my data secure?
VoxSmyth takes security seriously. We use JWT-based authentication, bcrypt password hashing, Cloudflare Turnstile bot protection, and HTTPS encryption. Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, all VoxSmyth subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through your Account Settings. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We process payments securely through Stripe and offer a straightforward cancellation process with no hidden fees.
What audio format do audiobooks play in?
VoxSmyth generates high-quality MP3 audio at 44.1kHz using ElevenLabs' eleven_multilingual_v2 model. Audio is streamed in real-time through our chunked audio system for instant playback. Generated audio is cached for repeat listening, so subsequent plays load instantly.
